| Red Pearl at Pink Shell Resort Marina |
Dockage includes access to most of the amenities of the Pink Shell Resort across the street. The Pink Shell Resort reminded us of the hotel resorts in Hawaii except this one has a marina on the sound side of the resort in addition to the beach on the Gulf side.
We stayed an extra day here since it was so hectic getting ready to go and having three straight cruising days. The next day we walked the 3/4 mile to the "Times Square" village south of the Pink Shell Resort. Shpps, restaurants, a fishing pier and a very popular public beach.
We defrosted the refrigerator as it seemed to not be getting as cold as it did before we left. We'll monitor it for a few days and see how it does. From here on south we will no longer be in the Gulf Intercoastal Waterway but rather we will be in the open Gulf of Mexico. We prepared to leave early the next morning for calmer seas on our way to Naples.
