We departed the Pink Shell Resort Marina around 8:30AM heading for Naples. In the open Gulf of Mexico winds were about 10mph out of the west and seas were 1 to 2 feet. We encountered foggy conditions in the AM as expected with visibilities from 1/2 mile to 2 miles. Also as expected, this fog lifted around 11am. Four hours later we arrived at the Naples Boat Club Marina in downtown Naples, FL.

We walked to "The Boathouse" restaurant a few blocks away for a nostalgic lunch. We used to frequent the place when we were first married and lived in Naples. It was a more rustic waterfront seafood bar/restaurant then. It is more up-scale now, but still reminded us of the old days.

We walked to Flynn's grocery market about a mile away to buy provisions, stopping at CVS along the way. I saw the building where my office was when I worked here for US Home Corp as a Vice-President of Construction. We also enjoyed people-watching along the downtown 5th Avenue. We're preparing for another early departure tomorrow to head on down to Everglades City.
